My first blog

With 2 part time jobs, a husband, three teenagers and a dog, my life is full to overflowing. But I have always loved to write and I have always felt guilty for not developing those abilities. I have such fond memories of my high school newspaper advisor and she had such high expectations for me. Somehow with my degree in early childhood education and the demands of teaching after graduation, my writing got lost in the shuffle. I've thought a lot about writing children's books over the years and have started quite a few books but never had the confidence to finish one. I even started a mystery novel once but only finished a few pages before I gave up. Blogging seems like a good fit for my crazy life.

As to the title of my blog - my life revolves around my family and friends. And I love the saying, "it's all relative." Because it is - every time I find myself making a big deal over something minor, I stop and remind myself, if this is the worst thing that happens today, it's going to be a good day. So welcome to my blog - I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I'm going to enjoy writing it.
